Prof. Onasanya Amos Adeyinka is a Professor of Biochemistry since 2015 specialized in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow Plant Pathology with Africa Rice Center, a member of Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). He holds a PhD degree in Biochemistry with specialization in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, a master degree in Biochemistry with specialization in Biotechnology, and PGD Medical Microbiology, all from Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Nigeria. In addition to these, he also obtained HND in Science Laboratory Technology in Applied Chemistry from Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Nigeria.
He is a molecular biology and biotechnology scientist with over 28 years of international research and university experience with Africa Rice Center (AfricaRice), International Institute of Tropical (IITA, CGIAR member) and Afe Babalola University in sub-Saharan Africa. He has worked on several international donor projects with international and regional partners and scientists including supervision of masters and PhD students both within and outside Africa. He has received several national and international awards such as “2009 Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researcher”. He has over 144 scientific peer-reviewed research publications published in various international journals.
